Blog #2

I found blogging and the use of del.icio.us to be my new most used interactions with Web 2.0. I found the use of Google Spreadsheets and GoogleDocs to be the most useful as web applications. The ability to type in formulas to receive information such as state governors, population, and more can help with the educational process. One way that I have noticed applications working with each other would be traveling websites offering weather information courtesy of a weather company.

Week 6 Players

So far i have Shawn S, Cory, Myself, Kris, and Aarons picks.That makes 5 of us. I expect Shane, Trevor, and Matt to send their picks in, with Mitch being questionable. That makes 8, maybe 9 so far. First place is the only place being paid out, and in the Rare event of a tie, both players will chop.

If you have anyone else that wants to play, let me know!! I need everyones money by saturday night. I do not work, so I can easily meet you by this time, or even tonight ( friday) Just hit me up on facebook (Andy Eschenbacher) if you have any questions

Dont forget to add the tie breaker to the Titans / Jax game. Guess the score of the game and add it together for a combined score!

Embedding photos for Web 2.0

I thought creating this slideshow was the best way to show how embedding your photos gives you an advantage over uploading images directly to blogger. You're able to show a multiple selection of photos, compared to just one. I'd say it is much easier to simply upload your photos, but they create more clutter on your blog compared to this!

Positives and Negatives to using a feed reader

One strength is that the feed reader shows a lot of news and information and sends it directly to one place, instead of having to type in multiple websites to receive the information. Another strength is that it marks the news being read or unread as if they were emails, which helps decipher what news you havent read yet.

One weakness is that the news is cluttered. I'm use to reading my news over the whole page, it must be something I have to get to use to having the news cluttered closely together. Another weakness is that the blog posts I've been reading lack the artistic detail that blog websites bring.

Week 2 Results

With a 3 way tie going into the final game, Angelo wins the spread as the final score of the New Orleans @ San Fran game was 25-22.

Week 1 Results

Week 1 Results show Myself going 9-7, a 3 way tie at 8-8, and Jordan lagging behind at 7-9. The winner of week 1 and taking home the $50 prize is ME!!!!!!!!!!


Player pool for this week will be $50 again. We have Cory, Myself, Angelo, Shane, and Kris. I changed the tie breaker to be to guess the combined score of the monday night football game (Saints @ 49ers). Closest combined score to the actual score wins the tie breaker if needed.

Picks and money will be due and posted by midnight for everyone to compare

Week 1- Pigskin Pickem Sports Predictions

Welcome everyone, to our first week of my hosted Pigskin Pickem!

We currently have 5 people playing, at $10 per person. All you need to do is take each NFL football game and decide who you think is going to win. The person that picks the most correct victories will take the $50 prize pool. The tie breaker for this week will be decided on who guesses the closest score to the Vikings and Saints game. The clear winner will be the person who picked the correct team, but depending on the prediction score to the actual score, we will take a spread of how many points you were off for both teams.
